Meet the team

Cameron Witkowski

Cameron Witkowski

Cameron is our founder and a graduate of the Engineering Science program in Robotics. Having Completed academic research on computational biology, LLMs, and the physics of information. Cameron is now completing an MASc in ECE at U of T.

Victor Gao

Victor Gao

Victor is our VP of Strategy and an undergraduate computer science student at the University of Toronto. He has done research on computational humor using machine learning with Prof. Sageev Oore at Dalhousie University. In his spare time he likes to cook, fly drones, read, and play guitar.

Sofia Gilbert Sandoval

Sofia Gilbert Sandoval

Sofia is our VP of Finance and an undergraduate double majoring in Economics, with a focus in data analytics, and History. She is a classical violinist, an avid reader and loves deepening her understanding of AI in her free time.
She is particularly excited about the evolving intersection of finance and technology and looks forward to engaging in discussions on the ethics and governance of AGI as these technologies continue to develop.

Aman Bhargava

Aman Bhargava

I’m a Ph.D. student in Computation and Neural Systems at Caltech in Thomson Lab, where I research collective intelligence, representation learning, and control theory/methods for large language models (often in collaboration with Cameron Witkowski). I graduated from the University of Toronto with a BASc in Engineering Science (Machine Intelligence 2T2) and researched biosignal processing, HCI, and applications of reinforcement learning in BCI and theoretical neuroscience. I’m a big fan of understanding + building intelligence and reality. Along the way I like to make music, climb, and read. https://aman-bhargava.com/

Sheral Kumar

Sheral Kumar

Sheral is a graduate of the Engineering Science Robotics program, with a minor in Artificial Intelligence. Her research interests lie in the intersection of biology, robotics, multimodal data systems, and machine learning. Sheral is currently completing a MASc in ECE at UofT.

Juan Rojas

Juan Rojas

Juan is a graduate student at the University of Toronto, where he conducts research as part of the Dynamic Optimization & Reinforcement Learning Lab, led by Professor Chi-Guhn Lee. His research interests lie in the theory and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in real-world, safety-critical settings. With his current research focuses on developing machine learning frameworks and algorithms that incorporate risk into the learning, planning, and decision-making processes of autonomous agents operating in dynamic, uncertain, and safety-critical environments.

Siddarth Narasimhan

Siddarth Narasimhan

Siddarth is in EngSci 2T2 + PEY, graduated in the Robotics option, and is currently pursuing an MASc in the MIE department. He believes that the next major AGI breakthrough will likely involve building a general-purpose robotics foundation model to emulate human behaviour. His current research involves building social navigation algorithms using deep learning for robots deployed in crowded and human-centric environments. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing competitive chess and the Indian classical drums.

Noémie Duchemin Stevens

Noémie Duchemin Stevens

Noémie is a 4th year Life Science student studying biology and neuroscience. She joined the club to deepen my understanding of AGI and its implications for the future of medical research.  She is currently working in research on neuro-degenerative diseases, which has a lot of room for the use of AGI!

Harsh Grover

Harsh Grover

Harsh is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Artificial Intelligence. His research interests lie at the intersection of computer hardware and AI. His hobbies include playing hockey, reading and exploring new places in the city.
